The answer to your problem is simple. Forget any idea of "calories in / calories out". Eat only meat (especially beef), seafood and eggs, plenty of natural salt. Coffee if you like it. No fruit, veggies, grains, seed / vegetable oils of any kind but cook in ghee lard or dripping. Eat as much as you like.
For exercise - walking, pushups and bodyweight squats will get you started. Enjoy guaranteed success. 👍🏻
One neat mind game I play with myself on the “discipline” angle is to try and forget about losing weight to “look good” and instead keep recalling that I have a moral duty to my kids and wife to stay alive and healthy for at least like 20 more years. I think it makes a difference !
I'm sorry that Duke did that. I had one interaction with him & he was cool to me but thats messed up. He has a responsibility as a leader too & he failed you guys that day. My sister-n-law just lossed weight with ephedra. My GF lost a lot of weight w/ Wegovy(too much weight actually & its destroying our relationship). I lost about 50lbs following the Christian Bale diet of tuna, apples, a regular dinner, black coffee & motivational/prison youtube stories to listen to during exercise. Everyone has a theory. Cellular food vs processed food. That's part of the problem. It doesn't help that I work the graveyard shift, and junk food is available in machines. I can't even trust the food in the cafeteria at work because I know that the bacon is real, but the meat patty might not be. For all I know, it could be a soy patty.
Milk at work isn't real. It's a powder mixed with water.
I work out thirty minutes every day when I go to work, but I don't do the same at home.
