My mission with my work is simple, to chart out the best possible future for my future generations. A father, uncle, and grandfather has several duties implied by his role, and one of them is planning for the distant future. As a steward of the ancient faith, my beloved family, and my kindred folk, I feel that there’s a lack of a “dynastic” mentality, a longview, a big picture framework offered to our future generations.
“Dynasties” aren’t just for barons and billionaires, but for any and every family or individual, no matter how humble, who are willing to peer beyond their noses. Life is short, and we’re all but links in a chain stretching millennia into the past, indebted to men and women we’ll never meet who made grave sacrifices for the blessings we enjoy today. Dynasticism is the concerted effort to rise to the challenge of becoming worthy of the appreciation and respect of our future generations.
The first principle of dynasticism is fidelity to faith, family, and folk, the trinity of identity one seeks to preserve against both extrinsic challenges and intrinsic degeneration alike. Dynasticism necessarily accounts for more than one’s direct familial interest, as families exist within communities and societies that must be protected and preserved, if for no other reason than for one’s own familial interest.
What’s missing is a credible alternative to the script we’re handed by the modern world. To some degree, religion has fulfilled this purpose. While I believe Traditional Christianity does account for the perennial and spiritual elements of the human condition, the institutions have not managed to deliver coherent social and political answers to novel social and political problems. Dynasticism must necessarily complement rather than attempt to replace or reform one’s religious traditions.
My body of work is in the service of this dynastic prerogative, and I prefer to see it as nothing more than tending to the matters that grandfathers, uncles, and fathers have tended to since the dawn of time. It’s merely accounting for one’s first priorities, but drilling deeper than usual because the challenges facing our future generations go far beyond what saving for a college fund or taking out a life insurance policy can address.
Metapolitics
The VaporTrad metapolitical model explains what civilization is, where it came from, where it’s going, and why. Without a practical and predictive metapolitical model, you won’t be able to think or plan beyond our current circumstances. We’re currently in a transition from one phase of civilization to the next, and success or failure will be defined by how well that process is navigated.
Each metapolitical step organically follows the last and inexorably leads to the next. This is not to say humans have no agency in this historical process. The best analogy is the surfer, who has the agency, will, and skill to ride the waves while having no control over the prevailing winds, waves, or lunar tides. While the Mercantile Age is drawing to a close and leading to the Manual Age regardless of our individual actions, our individual actions will define how that process manifests for ourselves and whether our future generations ride the waves or crash onto the rocks.
As illustrated, the destination is “arcology,” harnessing advanced technology to live in sustainable harmony with the natural world. I understand “arcology” more broadly than the seventies architecture movement, and am no partisan of living in pods. It is a “solarpunk” dream of a life where the hierarchies of exploitation grow obsolete and the human experience is centered on relationships and spiritual growth rather than modes of production and oppression. If it seems idealistic, it is, but it’s also our future if we can be bothered to show up for it.
The financial oligarchs and their helpmeets have led you to believe that it has to be like this, that an alternative ordering of society and human life is an absurd daydream. But the very same technological innovation that came for the ancien regime they replaced is coming for them too. And the certainty that we will always be beholden to banks and their accounts will feel as archaic as the prior certainty that we will always be beholden to lords and their fiefdoms.
Identity
I took a moment to edit the solarpunk illustration ever so slightly to lighten up the lady on the deck a tad. And that’s my vision in a nutshell, a bright and hopeful future where my own people aren’t swept aside. White identity has become so thoroughly associated with mercantile and colonial history and its power structures that the West’s animating moral crusade is our dispossession and erasure, as if White people are the problem.
I’m known first and foremost for my identitarian work, but that’s more a consequence of circumstance than any particular interest in race on my part. It’s this society that has an unhealthy fixation on my race, and a dogged determination to scapegoat it for the sins of the mercantile oligarchs. Regretfully, most White Advocates have internalized this abuse, and insist that colonial imperialism is integral to our very identity, that we’re indeed the “people of colonialism” innately set against the victimized “people of color.”
If our society’s animating moral crusade was blaming, shaming, and ethnically cleansing left-handed people, I would be just as obnoxiously a Sinistral Advocate and there would be tons of media hit pieces on me for being a Sinistral Supremacist. The fight is about race first and foremost because the financial oligarchs have redirected the frustration and resentment that belongs in their laps upon the blameless White families of the Western world.
As such, if you’re not pro-White, you’re a hapless stooge of the hostile elites. Everybody of every race should be pro-White, in fact. The entirety of humanity should answer back in a united voice that a race of mankind will not be singled out for collective punishment. All we demand is the very same dignity and self-determination that every other people wish for themselves and their future generations.
Neo-Tribalism
While the “White race” is the target and people who are biologically, taxonomically Whites do share a common geopolitical challenge, Whiteness is not an answer to the question of identity in and of itself. Neither is Romantic Nationalism. Transformative technology is radically altering what identity means and will only further alter it as time goes on. The geolinguistic “Incidental Identities” of yesteryear are giving way to the ideological neo-tribal “Intentional Identities” of the future.
What this means, in broad political terms, is that I’m not fighting for what people seem to presume I’m fighting for. I do not wish to “take back” the United States, or reassert White dominion over North America. You can have America. I’m looking further ahead than that, to a future beyond the interchangeable administrative districts of the Atlanticist Empire.
In tangible political terms, I’ve sketched up a Neighborhood Freedom Amendment as a mock constitutional amendment that is my modest proposal to illustrate my point. It’s currently illegal for White people to take the most basic defensive steps to preserve their communities and kind in this political order. The “Civil Rights” movement overshot its stated purpose of equality before the law and has enshrined decades of toxic precedent that defines Whites as the problem and their displacement and dispossession as the solution.
I firmly believe that if Whites were permitted the reasonable steps laid out in the NFA and then we mustered the will to seize upon that opportunity to develop successful and sustainable intentional communities, the fate of “America” and “mass society” would work itself out. American and Western “mass society” is dying, which is only a crisis if there are laws and police officers standing in the way of politely and respectfully opting out of it.
Roadmap
This all may seem very theoretical and perhaps fanciful, but what I’ve learned is that if you don’t state your metapolitical priors and future plans, everybody will assume the worst. This problem is compounded by the fact that the contemporary “Dissident Right” is a madhouse of paranoid, reactionary, and hateful goons who actually wish ill upon other peoples, actually thrive on playing the villain, and eagerly read their lines from the elites’ typewriter, that they exist to conquer and control the rest of mankind.
I’m an activist, and have led street protests and organized concrete political action on behalf of our people. I’m working towards defined goals. My intention is to define, describe, and deploy solutions to this crisis. In my “Underground Unionization” essay, I describe how labor organizing needs to play an important role in our work, and how that must sharply depart from labor organizing as it’s commonly understood. In my “Cryptocurrency Habitat” piece, I explain how blockchain technology will disrupt the world far more than anybody realizes, and lay the groundwork for further essays on how we can ride that coming wave.
Do you read John Michal Greer's blog? Last week he had a blog about Covid (he normally doesn't write about it), and he had a painting in it that looks a lot like your picture. I wonder if it's the same artist. I think you'd like JMG, but he doesn't share your optimism for tech..
